2019 Early Career Researcher Award

This award is sponsored by members of the TASH Early Career Researcher Network.  The recipient of this award will have a research agenda that is focused on inclusive practices and has the potential to impact change in equity, inclusion, and full participation for individuals with significant disabilities.  This award honors the contributions of researchers who are in the beginning stages of their career.  To be eligible for this award, nominees must have been active in the field for less than ten years after receiving their advanced graduate degree (EdD, PhD).

The TASH Early Career Researcher Network is a group of early career researchers who are focused on promoting the development and dissemination of evidence-based practices aligned with the TASH National Agenda.  As part of our commitment to advance the TASH National Agenda, this network is also focused on the mentorship and support of new researchers.  The recipient of this award will have the opportunity to work with a mentor who is a veteran researcher.

Rules and Conditions

TASH will only accept complete forms. Please review the entire application form before you start filling it out. Incomplete forms cannot be saved. We recommend having your content completed offline prior to submitting it. The deadline for submitting nominees for the Early Career Researcher award is Tuesday, August 1st, 2019

Please fill out the following three steps in order to complete your nomination.
Please attach a current CV that speaks to the nominee's (a) successful participation in a terminal degree program (e.g., Ph.D.; Ed.D.; J. D.) including major, minor, degree, and anticipated date of completion; (b) employment in related areas, including dates, duties, name of supervisor; and (c) research and publications.
Using 500-1000 words, please submit an essay that highlights how the nominee's work (a) aligns with the TASH mission, (b) how their research agenda supports inclusive practices, and (c) how their research has the potential to impact change in equity, inclusion, and full participation for individuals with significant disabilities.

Please provide the name and contact of three people who can serve as references for the Early Career Researcher Award nominee. The three references will be contacted by the ECRN award selection committee to fill out a brief Likert scale survey on the nominee.
